Valerie Davidson's
work is classic in design, using simple shapes with rich texture and
contrasting clean lines. She works mainly with sterling silver but uses
copper, brass, and gold as well. Her work has been exhibited and sold in many

One of Valerie's focuses in recent years has been making pieces inspired by the drawings
of children. When her oldest daughter, Alice, was four years old, Valerie
began making pieces based on Alice's drawings. This started as gifts for
family members and teachers, as good ideas often do, and has now become a
large part of her repertoire.
In the past eleven years, Valerie has created pieces of jewellery from many children's
drawings, not just her own. These pieces are charming, whimsical, and
precious. It is very satisfying for Valerie as a craftsperson to see the
delight of the recipient of one of these pieces!

As a designer
and maker, Valerie's main concern is with quality and innovation. Over the years she
has developed a line of unique and well made designs that are classic. She
offers quite a variety of work, from lower priced production items to one of a
kind pieces.
Turn your child's drawing into a handcrafted
sterling silver brooch or pendant. Your drawing can be faxed or scanned and
sent to Valerie. Valerie then consults with her client to design a
masterpiece as unique and special as the drawing you provide. This
consultation will confirm size, metals to be incorporated (sterling silver,
gold, brass and/or copper), budget and timing. You will then be on your way to capturing your
child's artwork forever.
